All organizations have their own style of recruiting and selecting talented employees. Organizations operated by hiring employees in an intuitive manner until it became necessary to be competitive in uncertain times. In this paper, I am going to focus on how Beck’s Hybrids in Atlanta, Indiana became the largest family owned seed corn company by having an effective recruitment and selection process.

Recruitment and selection impacts the success of every organization. Organizations with effective recruiting and selection result in positive outcomes that affects the products and services, and the perception of the organization. Having the right people for the job will increase profits and decrease costly turnovers. No company can consistently grow revenues faster than its ability to get enough of the right people to implement that growth and still become a great company. [And] If a company consistently grows revenue faster than its ability to get enough of the right people to implement that growth, it will not simply stagnate; it will fall (Collins, J., 2009, p. 55-56). Even though organizations are operating in uncertain times, focusing on staying committed, and making certain they have the best talent will ensure future success. The bottom line of the organization will be impacted by setting a clear direction that employees can get behind, and making sure the right people are hired for the right job.…
