In the evolutionary origin of friendship, Robert and Dorothy tell us how genetic relatedness affects friendship in Horse, Elephants, Dolphins and Chimpanzees. They present their article in which they share their argument and analyse as biologists. Both authors argue that individual of the same sex could have strong friendship that did not have to do with reproduction, and the relationship between human can affect their happiness and longevity; however, their opinions are based upon their observation among animals, make it weaker. Also Robert and Dorothy writing are complicated due to their technical writing

Female individual are the strongest, most enduring social bonds experience, less stress, higher infant survival, and live longer.
The recognition of other animals’ relationships: The recall of the animals’ relationships by the animals themselves has been widely recorded in many species using different strategies. The portrayal that lies below this recall, differs from one species to the other, and surely differs from humans’: “there is no doubt that animals acquire and remember information about other animals’ relationships and that this knowledge affects their behaviour” (Robert and Dorothy 2012, p.165). “Animals live in a world where there are predictable, statistical regularities in other individuals’ behavior. All they need to do is watch and remember. “Animals also recognize the close bonds that exist among others” (Robert and Dorothy 2012, p.164). “Nor has anyone claimed that animals’ knowledge of their own and each other’s relationships is explicit and declarative—indeed, quite the opposite is true” (Robert and Dorothy 2012, p. 163).

Structure:
This secondary research paper which is formed as a critical analysis, contains an introduction which is based on the topic, and discusses the main points of this research, it’s then followed by a literature review which gives the readers some points about the topic “the evolutionary origins of friendships” which was raised by several authors.
