Jesus ( 'Îsa) can be found roughly 79 times in over 59 verses within the Qur’an. The Qur’an speaks of the virgin birth of Jesus to Mary (Maryam), it also tells about how Jesus healed the sick through God (Allah), and was a true prophet of God (Allah). Muslims, like Christians believe that Jesus performed miracles, through the will and permission of God, whom has power and control over all things. The Divinity and Mission of Jesus, and his relationship with God (Allah) are also recited in multiple passages, chapters and verses within the Qur’an. The Qur’an also speaks of the crucifixion and the second coming of Christ (Jesus, 'Îsa). Below are several chapters and verses taken from the English interpreted version of the Qur’an. These citations were taken from various web sites including www.novlequean.com/translation/, www.islamreligion.com/articles/, and www.islamicfinder.org/quran/.
