Hillary Clinton was not only the first lady elected to the united states senate, she also became the first female senator from New York. Currently, she is in the run for the 2016 president against Ben Carson and others. She is a true definition of a feminist.

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was born on October 26, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to, her mother, Dorothy Rodham and her father, Hugh Rodham. When she was 3, her and her family moved to Park Ridge ,Illinois . Growing up as the eldest, her parents were very strict on her. As a young woman, Hillary was active in young republic groups and campaigned for republican presidential nominee Barry Goldwater in 1964. She was inspired to work in some form of public service after hearing Martin Luther king Jr. and became a Democrat .By 1968; she was exploring the political landscape and working for politicians of both parties. Hillary also supported Eugene McCarthy’s presidential campaign, served as a summer intern for the House Republican Conference and witnessed the protests at the democratic National Convention in Chicago. She attended Wellesley College where she was also a active student in politics and was elected senior class president before graduating in 1969. In the spring of 1971 she attended Yale Law School where she meet the love of her life, Bill Clinton.
