The CDC states that according to the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, tobacco use is mainly formed for the first time during adolescence age. The CDC reported that nearly 9 out of 10 cigarette smokers tried their first smoking experience by age of 18. According to U.S Department of Health and Human Services, the CDC state that in the United States, each day more than 3,800 youth age 18 years or younger experience their first cigarette smoke. Moreover, 2,100 youth and young adult considered as a daily cigarette smokers. As of this trend the CDC states that “If smoking continues at the current rate among youth in this country, 5.6 million of today’s Americans younger than 18 will die early from a smoking-related illness. That’s about 1 of every 13 Americans aged 17 years or younger alive today”.
The lately CDC reports identified that from 2011 to 2014, existing cigarette smoking with in middle and high school students is declined however, the use of hookahs is increased among the same group. In their article: Intervention Effects on Tobacco Use in Arab and Non-Arab American Adolescents, Rice et al, 2011, state that after they tested a modified Project Towards No Tobacco (TNT) use program on cigarette smoking in Arab American and non-Arab American 9th grader in the Midwest; their results provide support for the use of the modified project TNT in regard to decrease the experiment and assisting cigarette smoking in both Arab American and non-Arab American…
