Mother is love she is what children, the offspring, call the one who raised them, gave birth to them, took care of them, protected them from all evil, did anything in her power to keep them happy and well nourished. One 's mother is responsible for making her child the little monster he/she is today. A mother loves unconditionally and will make everything better with their warm smiles or in someone 's case, her corny jokes. A mother is what children, people all around the world, recognize as power, all love, a treasure. No matter who moms they are, they will always have someone who recognizes them as a mother, mom, momma, mum, etc. For example Ashley has a biological mother and she also has two other wonderful women she would also consider to be her mother.
According to the Oxford English Dictionary Mother is an "Old English mōdor, of Germanic origin; related to Dutch moeder and German Mutter, from an Indo-European root shared by Latin mater and Greek mētē ." The word Mother has a form of initial respect. When Ashley calls her mom " ma" her mother will know that she needs something, or when she calls her "mother" she knows she is trying to be sarcastic then there’s "mommy" the use of mommy is when she wants something or wants to come off as innocent, for example “she swears she didn’t break the vase or write on the wall with a sharpie.” The word mom is traced back to Latin "mamma" which is why Hispanic children use "mamma or ma."
