Individual’s perspective regarding aging is altered because a large number of boomers character surface youthful more than his or her parents did at approximate age, and it is not part Organizational Responsibility and Current Health Care Issues Paper of his or her imagination or consumer patterns. Life expectancy has increased phenomenal during boomer’s life stage coupled with health expectancy. Seniors who suffer from chronic disabilities have declined the previous two decades, therefore millions of today’s senior citizens and the boomers who will follow can enjoy a life that consist of activity and productivity until a later age (Grennblatt, 2007).
The percentage of Americans employed in his or her late 60s has increased since 1985 by 50%. Compared to older people in the past boomers have a phenomenal opportunity and ability to live a life that entails living a youthful old age. Many people acknowledged boomers are determined to bypass becoming old. More than 80% of boomers anticipate employment past 65. Boomers have indicated the intent to pursue a different career prior to retiring such as social work or teaching. It remains an open question as how long the boomers will continue work and for those who choose to work will he or she succeed in finding meaningful employment.
