Animal Rights To freedom Since the beginning of time animals had rights to do as they please in their own habitat. As time accumulated, these rights slowly faded with entertainment usage of animals. Animals do not belong in a zoo for personal visual enjoyment. Almost every child has taken a trip to the zoo. At the zoo we see different animals in created habitats eating prepared food. Zoo owners often dispute that Zoos are a tradition, and a visit to a zoo is a nourishing, family activity. Viewing an animal in person is a much more special and more memorable experience than seeing a similar animal in a nature documentary. Some would argue that humans have slight, if any duty to animals because humans are more important. If keeping animals in zoos serves any educational or entertainment purposes, we can ethically do so. Zoos assist in rehabilitating wildlife and take in exotic pets that people no longer want or can no longer care for. Animals do not belong in a zoo for personal visual enjoyment. Almost every child has taken a trip to the zoo. At the zoo we see different animals in created habitats eating prepared food. A variety of different animals are either captured or born to amuse us humans. Lions for example are known for being the king of the jungle with unique hunting abilities. In the zoo, Lions are born and catered to the elements and lifestyle they are taught. This is wrong on so many levels to me. If you take a Lion that was raised in the zoo and placed him among fellow Lions in the jungle he would not survive. A Lion raised in the zoo, would not know how to hunt nor defend himself against threats because he’s not use to that lifestyle. It’s the same as if you would take a
