Abstract In this paper you will learn the process of research. Anyone can research but in order to research correctly, one must know the language and process. As always when researching the reason one is researching to find new information. This is when one will familiarize their self with new research terminology as well as knowledge. When one describes the research process it should contain; the new terminology found, how the terminology and knowledge apply to the research, explain how not knowing the proper terminology can affect the research and as well as why knowing the correct terminology helps. Hagan, 2010, p. 10) Quantitative and Qualitative research is another way researchers can help within their research process. Quantitative is concepts that are assigned numerical value where qualitative are viewed as ideas or terms that enhance our understanding. These two terms ties into the term Verstehen due to immerse; the researcher hopes to receive knowledge to understand the explanation of reality. (Frank E. Hagan, 2010, p. 14) With new terminology a researcher must know the language of research. If a researcher does not understand a term, a sense of disorientation will be experienced this can be caused when the researcher has been confronted with an unfamiliar langue whether it is in a style of presentation or research language. When someone is specialized into a certain field s/he needs to know the terms that are used so the language is not unfamiliar to them. This way if they were to go around someone who is not in a correctional field, more than likely that person is not going to know what the language is because it is not a term they have discovered to use for their profession. Knowing the language in you profession is important because it is a useful tool to negotiate and understand the language in your field.
