Overall I think social media networks have both positive and negative results for organizations. Social media gives companies the ability to reach a wider customer base in a much more efficient way. Using the internet can make a company vulnerable though because it leaves room for hackers to access things they don’t want such as in the Best Buy twitter fiasco. Even though technology is increasingly growing and it makes things easier for employers there are still many flaws within it that can harm a company. Like Warren Buffet said “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it.” This is very true for the Best Buy situation something as small as a hacked twitter account had the potential to destroy a very successful company in matter of hours.
