Introduction Welcome member of The United Sates House of Representative’ Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security. And thank you for the unanimous attendance of all members today. Good Morning: Rep. Trey Gowdy, Chairman; Rep. Raul Labrador, Vice-Chairman, Rep. Smith, Rep. Lofgren, Rep. King, Rep. Guiterrez, Rep. Buck, Rep. Jackson Lee, Rep. Ratcliffe, Rep. Pierluisi, Rep. Trott (US House of Representative, 2015). Today I am honored to present the resolution to a decade old debate, Immigration. We share the common historical bond of immigration building our great nation. And today, unanimously we assemble for a presentation on its resolve. The solutions will once again bond our country to make it the great nation it is destined to be. Thank You.

Emma Lazarus (Lazarus) Just about thirty million people arrived in the United States between 1820 and 1920. Looking back we see the transformation of a world power we are today. The initial wave gave us the language, customs, traditions and skills in agriculture and business (West Darrel, 2010, p. 24). Followed by Russians, Irish and Italians contributing to the our “melting pot.” (West Darrel, 2010, p. 24). Africa, South and Central America (West Darrel, 2010, p. 25) followed contributing in their own unique ways.
