What can you say to our environment nowadays? It is full of pollution and bad things that are caused by humans. Our environment today are classified to be polluted, hot, and crowded. What do you think is the possible reason why the environment became like that? Do you even want to live like that forever? No of course, that’s why we need to move right now and think of a better way to save our environment. According to the National Geographic Society, the 20th century’s last two decades were the hottest in the last 400 years, “temperatures have climbed 1.4 degrees all across the world since 1880 and the last 11 of the past 12 years have been among the hottest since 1850” (Global Warming Fast Facts). A report in 2007 stated that 2500 scientists decided that after many tests, humans are the sole cause of global warming.
In the late 18th century, the Industrial Revolution ushered in a new era of great human advancement. However, this seemingly wonderful revolution brought with it mass production of greenhouse gasses and therefore global warming, “since the industrial age began around the year 1750, atmospheric carbon dioxide has increased by 40% and methane has increased by 150%. Such increases cause extra infrared light absorption, further heating Earth above its typical temperature range” (Ranney, Reinholz, Goldwasser).
