There are approximately 27 million shoplifters (or 1 in 11 people) in our nation today. More than 10 million people have been caught shoplifting in the last five years. This already shows you there are many people in the community shoplifting from various stores every day. Many of these shoplifters actually end up being adult surprisingly more than teens. Although shoplifting does still occur majorly in teenagers and many teenagers that haven’t shoplifted know of other teenagers that have. Even though many stores make their security even higher out of forty nine time someone may shoplift they will only get caught once.
