God, does he exist? Is he good? Is he evil? The existence and nature of God is an argument that has been prominent for a very long time. Philosophers such as Plato and Sartre have a different opinions relating to the topic, but each opinion is worth exploring. To better understand God, it is important that we understand Christianity and how it works. Generally speaking Christians hold the belief that God is the Father, Jesus Christ is the son of God as well as the Holy Spirit. The three make up the Holy Trinity. Christians teach on all three of the trinity, but they teach that there is one God, and the Holy Trinity is God. Christians view the death of Christ to be the most important factor of their faith, it is because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that means they are forgiven, and have a chance at eternal life in heaven
With the belief of heaven, comes the belief of hell. The belief of the afterlife varies some between denominations, but the majority of Christians believe that all beings will undergo divine judgement. Those who are forgiven and accept Christ as the Son of God will be given eternal life with their loved ones in Heaven, while those who do not accept Christ, or who are evil will be condemned to the depths of Hell. “And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus Appears from Heaven.
