The public has taken matters into their own hands, by marching and creating riots to demand change. A march took place in Ferguson in honor of Michael Brown. Protestors carried signs that said “Hands up, don’t shoot”. The group was there to march for injustice and demanding change locally and nationally. This was cry against police violence. When Staten Island grand jury didn’t indict Pantaleo, citizens in New York and San Francisco gathered to protest. On December 4 and 5 more than 300 people were arrested for disorderly conduct. Protesters used Garner 's last words “ I can 't breathe” as a slogan. They chanted together against police brutality. Where there is a group that’s against there is a group in favor. A march was done in support of police officers on December 19. Supporters wearing shirts that stated, “ I can breathe, thanks to the NYPD. They held up signs saying “blue lives matter”. They also had their own chant “ Don’t resist arrest”.
But, Ismaaiyl Brinsely took it to Instagram to declare in his page that he will be killing police officers in retribution for the killing of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. He wrote, “ Watch what I’m going to do” also “I 'm putting wings on pigs today. They take 1 of ours let 's take 2 of theirs.” On December 20, the gunman Ismaaiyl Brinsely killed two police officers. Brinsely approached the patrol car of officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Lu from the 84th precinct. He shot both of them multiple times in the head and…
