Each poem is unique in its own way. They are all aimed at a specific thing or try to get a message across to the reader. But then again, many poems may well be related to one another. They may be related in an obvious way or a way which is more intricate and harder to identify. The last three lines of the poem are probably the most effective of all; this is because everyone else has been concerned for the mother, who has been in too much pain to talk (she "twisted...groaning on a mat"), but she only thinks of her children, and thanks God the scorpion has spared them.
