Animal Cruelty
While watching television one day I saw a commercial for the ASPCA about giving donations to help this organization stop animal cruelty and rescue abused animals. After seeing this I started wondering how many people just watched the same commercial and didn’t pay attention because it was just a commercial. However it wasn’t just a commercial it was a plead, a wish, and a warning to anyone who wants to stop the abuse of animals. Animal cruelty is a major concern in the world today with so many animals being abused however there are ways in which to prevent this and the public needs to be more aware of the types, the signs, and what they can do to stop animal cruelty as well as the organizations that help make this possible

One organization besides the ASPCA is also trying to stop animal cruelty : the Humane Society. The Humane Society has several things that people can do to stop and prevent animal abuse, for instance they have a “standing $5,000 reward for information leading to a conviction of illegal dogfighting” (The Human Society of the United States). You can order a “free reward action pack” to “spread the word” about the reward. Also you can hold fundraisers, attempt to “educate the masses” by ordering the Human Society’s video “Life on the Chain, Death in the Ring”, and simply try to be active and look for any signs of cruelty in your neighborhood and recruit friends and family to the cause.
