The general elections in India are less than a month away and this time more than 800 million people a number larger than Europe’s population are set to cast their vote to elect the government which is going to rule India for the coming four years. Although there is such large scale of voting it ultimately comes down to two people. The future of a country with a population of 1.2 billion people is going to be placed in the hands of these two people. These people who come from two very different background and and have two very different ideologies will battle it out to become the 22nd prime minster of the country .It is a battle between Rahul Gandhi of the Indian national congress and Narendra Modi of the Bharatiya Janata Party or so …show more content…
While Rahul Gandhi represents the younger generation of Indians who resent the presence of old people in politics and are usually not given a chance to enter the political world. Both of them have their own advantages and disadvantages.
Secondly ideology Rahul Gandhi represents a secular party the Indian national congress which also happens to be the party which gained India independence from its British rulers while on the other hand Narendra Modi is from a primary Hindu party which represents the vast majority of Hindu population in India and is hailed as the best politician that India has every had. Both of them have different ways to solve various problems faced by Indians. Rahul Gandhi a youngster himself is more interested in giving a chance to the young India to come into power and is focusing more on empowering Indian women who have been neglected for a very long time on the other hand Narendra Modi is proven leader who has taken the state of Gujrat 10 years ahead in terms of development compared to the rest of India and also made Gujarat the safest state in the country but in the end it all comes down to a battle between India’s old, wise and traditional rulers represented by Narendra Modi to that of the new young generation of the country represented by Rahul Gandhi .
