Global climate changes and the world’s forests are inescapably linked, the negative effect of global climate change on the world’s forest affects the human beings biologically and socio-economically. Global climate change is any significant change in measurements of climate such as temperature, pre¬cipitation, or wind. Leading indicators of Climate change is greenhouse effect where the atmosphere gases such as carbon dioxide traps solar radiation in the atmosphere. Six of the 10 most active hurricane seasons have occurred since the mid-1990s. (Climate Change Indicators) Healthy forests are essential yet forests, like other ecosystems, are subject to a number of threats. The causes of the negative impacts on forest health the impacts include, but are not limited to, fire, insects and diseases, overexploitation of wood products, poor harvesting practices, poor management, invasive species, air pollution and extreme climatic events i.e. drought, frost, storms and floods. (Climate Change Indicators 57) The consequences of global climate change can all be associated with the threats to forests ecosystem. The Health of forests is important not only for the animals inside the forest but us humans as well. An estimated area the size of Panama or Sierra Leone 7 million Hectares is loss per year. Climatic events such as drought, wind, snow, ice, and floods have always influenced forest ecosystems. However, global climate change, primarily the result of human activities, is reportedly making forest ecosystems more prone to damage by altering the frequency, intensity and timing of fire events, hurricanes, ice storms, and insect and disease outbreaks. The number of insect outbreaks are due to the
