There should be no rich people as long as there is poverty in the world.
There are many different views on this statement within Christianity. Some are against it and say that it is fine to be rich as long as you five a portion of your money to charity and do not become gluttonous. But others say that people should share everything they have with one another and that everyone ought be equal.

The Apostles in the early church gave up everything they owned and preached about Jesus. 'They would sell their property and possessions, and distribute the money among all, according to what each one needed' Act 2:44-45, this enabled them to serve God wholeheartedly.
